In my book there are 3 simple rules to survive. rule 1 isolate yourself from everything except your family.
rule 2 cut all emotional ties, because if some one in your family is a zombie you have to kill them. Except if you have the right equipment to keep a zombie.
Like I do my dad's a zombie and I keep him.
Rule 3 stock up on weapons and ammo and don't waste ammo.
